It did not. The strongest predictor was marking load.<\/p>\n<h2>Relief beats novelty<\/h2>\n<p>Teachers adopted the tool that solved their heaviest recurring task, and ignored everything else until that first habit was established. A teacher with 180 scripts to mark reached for the rubric generator. Feature breadth was irrelevant at that stage \u2014 it was noise.<\/p>\n<h2>Three patterns that held across states<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>One tool first.<\/strong> Teachers who were introduced to a single tool stuck; those given the full suite in one session mostly disengaged.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Peers over trainers.<\/strong> A colleague demonstrating a saved Sunday outperformed any formal training session.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Twenty minutes.<\/strong> Onboarding longer than that reduced adoption rather than improving it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote>\n<p>The question a teacher is asking is not &#8220;what can this do&#8221;. It is &#8220;what will this take off my desk this week&#8221;.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h2>How this changed the product<\/h2>\n<p>Onboarding was cut to a single tool chosen by the teacher, with the rest of the suite introduced only after a habit formed.
